My Liberty Colonial 30 gun should be delivered mid-March. Still hyperventilating over the $$ but I expect that pain will dissipate as the years go by.

    Can't compare a Sentry to a Liberty.

Update: I was supposed to have my Liberty safe this weekend, but Liberty is very backordered at this time. I was told by Lowes that my safe wouldn't be delivered till 1st week of June. Just wanted to let any potential buyers that we have to have patience--but for the big savings on the Liberty safes, I'll wait a few months. Hey, this is an investment for life--so a couple more months is worth it in my opinion.

I got mine at Lowes last year and used the mover's coupon and also got the tax waived because I used our company's tax number. The delivery guys took the safe down the basement stairs and put it right where I wanted it for the $69. For another $100 you can buy a S&G mechanical lock and change it yourself easily.

Cooden: Hmmm... when did you order? I ordered a little over a month ago and they called me 3 times since then to tell me mid-march... I wonder if I am about to get another call?

Mark60: I really hope they will take mine inside into the basement as well... glad to give them $50 to do it because I'd spend that much in beer and pizza finding friends and a dolly to get it down there.

I'll report back when it comes in... either this week, or in 3 months I guess.

I ordered mine last month as well--they told me 5-6 weeks when I ordered it. I ordered the Franklin in textured granite--maybe some other models are ahead on the assembly line???

I really like the electronic lock--but I know that there is an upgraded electronic lock that you can buy. I might buy the upgraded one eventually.

I have that ..it's called the D-lock or d-drive. the code entry is digital, but the unlock is manual which i think is nicer and doesn't drain the battery as fast.

Ahhhh.... I wanted the Franklin but was stretching my budget as much as I could to get the model below that, the Colonial I think it is. I see I ordered it on 2/24. Lowes called me today and said it was done at at their hub in Wilkes Barre, and would arrive this week. So you might be right about the model making the difference.

Are these the exact same safes that Liberty sells directly? I know sometime with a major retailer the safes get cheapened up to fit a certain price point.

Same safe, same models, same quality. The Colonial & Franklin series are special orders--no Lowes has them in stock.

Gander Mountain in Tonawanda has a Franklin 27 in stock, ready for pickup as of last night. $1499.

That's not bad, but I paid $1456.70 including tax and 12 months 0% interest.

FYI. If you want light and don't want to spend the cash for the dealer installed light.. you can try this:
    10 LED Wireless Motion Sensor Light - 2 Pack - Amazon.com
+ a sticky back velcro strip and you're in business.

Did it finally come into the store?

I ordered one for store pickup and they keep pushing back the expected date.

Might have to grease the delivery guys. I think by Lowes policy they are only supposed to drop it in the driveway.
