Default Pistol grip for Mossberg 500

    Soooo...here's the story.

I have a a Mossberg 500 (which, by the way, I absolutely love), and I'm looking for pistol grip and stock similar to the one below, but in wood, not synthetic.

Does anyone know of anything? I've been looking all over and the closest I can find is a thumbhole-style stock that's laminate. No thanks. I want real wood and a pistol grip. I'm about ready to try and make my own.

    Thanks for all the help.

BTW, I stumbled across this forum about 3 weeks ago - I love this place!

Ya know, you're the third person that's told me that. I asked the same question to the guys at Buffalo Gun Center and he told me the exact same thing - make one and you'll probably be rich. My father-in-law and I are going to tackle this project next month and see what we can come up with.

You mean the stock in the picture? That's not mine. It's just a pic I found on Google.

I too have never seen a wooden pistol grip stock. However, there are a ton of configuarations and options out there if you like the synthetics.

Here's one I stumbled across this morning...

It's a hunting shotgun, not a personal defense gun. I like the traditional look of wood, but I like the feel and control of the pistol grip.

I'm not a hunter at the moment, but wouldn't synthetic be better for bangin' around outdoors? I'd be pretty upset to see a beautiful wooden stock get annihilated after the first weekend in the woods.

Uhh, yeah, I kinda see what you mean...however, I have a traditional wood stock (non pistol grip) on it now, and so far, so good!
