Kinda. Problem is, it also serves as a map for burglars of what houses it is safer to rob.....

Who cares? You guys put your firearms inventory in your signatures, brag on how many you own and so many think it's your right to scream on the internet how you're "loud and proud".

I agree that it is a good thing...let's all your anti-gun neighbors know they've been outed as soft targets. What I plan to do is write the papers publishing this and a bunch of appropriate legislators about how while they think they're smart on pointing this information out what they've really done is made themselves liable for showing the bad guys which citizens to target. So when these folks become victims, the ambulance chasing attorneys will also be smart enough to figure this out and use it and the fact that they neglected to act on a bill that would have prevented this as fodder to further show how irresponsible and negligent they are.

The database was released - but now this newspaper is making it easier for people to point and click on a map to see who does/does not have a CCW. Yeah - it's public info - but it's being released in a very irresponsible manner that serves no purpose other than to exploit what happened in CT.

interesting how there are residents of NJ with NY pistol permits.....There are several westchester pistol permit holders with NJ addresses. Probably some sort of business permit deal but I thought NY does not allow non res.

No person may carry, possess or transport a handgun in or through the state unless he has a valid New York license. New York does not issue licenses to non-residents nor does it recognize licenses issued by other states
