O.F. Mossberg and Sons was recently awarded the Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence 2009 Shotgun of the Year award for the Mossberg 930 SPX (Special Purpose Extreme). The shotgun is similar in function to Mossberg’s other 900 series autoloaders and features a 7+1 shot capacity with a Choate magazine extension, 18.5″ cylinder bore barrel, LPA ghost ring rear sight with winged fiber optic front sight and black synthetic stock. “We are extremely pleased with the award from Shooting Industry Acedemy of Excellence.” said Iver Mossberg, CEO of O.F. Mossberg and Sons Inc. “Mossberg continues our never-ending quest to inject the most versatility and value out of a single firearm, and we knew we had something special on our hands with the 930 SPX.” The 930 SPX sells for around $600 in stores.
