On Monday, September 12, at 6:30pm Dr. Paul Maurer will once again bring his highly informative and entertaining lecture about ballistics and the effects of gunshot wounds. Dr. Maurer is the head of Neurosurgery at Park Ridge Hospital and is an avid shooter, competing in many of the events here at GCL. If you have seen Dr. Maurer’s presentations before, tell someone else how much fun and how informative you found it to be.
I’ve been to Dr. Maurer’s ballistics lecture about five times and will definitely be going again. It’s always informative and there is always new information each time I go. Dr. Maurer is one of the best speakers you will ever see, entertaining and obviously an expert in this information.

Ballistics and Wounding Effects of Handgun and Rifle Bullets
Dr Paul Maurer, Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery and surgical director of the Spine Center at Unity Park Ridge Hospital, will be at the Genesee Conservation League on February 10th from 7pm until 9 with a presentation on ballistics and wounding trauma.
Dr. Maurer has extensive experience both from operating in the OR and in the field as a surgeon attached to military units in the Gulf War. His lectures on ballistics, explosive trauma, and others have been given to groups such as the US Air Marshall’s Service, the FBI, many police agencies, as well as a whole host of other groups whose jobs or careers depend on information such as this.
The seminar is free of charge and is open to anyone that wishes to attend. You do not have to be a member to come and enjoy Dr. Maurer’s highly informative and energetic talk.
