Where did you pick it up from? Does this mean we need to make another trip out to the swamps?

Wow, an M-16 version. I'm so used to people (myself included) buying the M4 ARs. Nice to see a change!

congrats. Stag has good customer service but you shouldn't need it. Have fun, shoot lots, and get all the training you can get/afford.

Anybody know anything about 22 conversions for AR15. I have a Stag Arms and a Stag Arms conversion but at least 2 of 10 rounds jam in the gun.
I tried filing the tounge on the magazine but no effect. Any other suggestions? No problem with the 223.

I have a CMMG 22 drop in kit. Works flawless in all my ARs.

You should PM Les. He has given up on getting his to run reliably.

Congrats, Nice rifle. The AR that I have that sees the most action is my M4 with the detachable carry handle. Don't have to worry about the batteries going dead and you can carry it in the same hand as your range bag.

Congrats and a fine choice... I'm starting to develop a real love for the m16 look / 20" upper. I have a colt delta pkg and have been shooting that more than my other ar's. What twist is the barrel? I've recently bought a case of hornady tap 70 grain?!? And they shoot phenomenal from the 20" 1/7

Yes the twist rate can be a killer.... finding the right grain weight is essential and varys from upper to upper....

Some 22 kits are picky even though the design among the various mfgs isn't much different from one another
best thing I can suggest is keep it clean, wet (oiled) and use hotter ammo if possible as weak bulk pack can cause function issues with some kits. Also sticking with more round nosed / FMJ if possible is best. HPs can misfeed at times. Be sure not to hold the gun by the magazine as any play btwm the lower and the mag will cause a misfeed also.

    1/9 twist
I've just started breaking it in with 55gr FMJ's only 70 rounds in. After the break in is done, I'll post range reports on her.

I have a CMMG conversion unit. Had the same issue, could not get a full magazine through the gun without a failure to eject. Fail to feed issues are usually magazine related. I contacted CMMG and they had me send the unit back to them. I received a replacement in the mail last weekend. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, I'll post up when I do. I have a complete DPMS .22 upper on order at Midway. What I found with the conversion was that they are NOT accurate at all because of the bore and twist rate of an AR. I'm looking for a way to practice the AR controls without opening my bank book for ammo but I also would like decent accuracy while doing so.
