Default 1st Post....Flinter,Caplock,Inline..What do you shoot?

My first was a Tower Enfield cavalry carbine.
The rest are a bunch of T/C caplocks.
I'd like to try a flintlock.
Never want to own a in-LIE-ne.
Since I'm just about retired,I should be hearing "Boom" more often.

I have a Traditions Kentucky long rifle(flintlock). It was the first gun I bought. Beats me up every time I use it, I don't know why. I can shoot my 30-06 no problem but this one kicks me in the face. I probably flinch. Whatever... If anyone wants to buy it I'm open to offers. Pm me lol.

I've had a CVA Staghorn for years but not being happy with the #11 percussion caps, I got a T/C break open that takes shotgun primers, the breach plug comes out with a 1/4 twist with your fingers.

I have a wolf break open with 209 primer, an old army .44 revolver which is fun to shoot but hate cleaning it. Also have a Traditions buckhunter pistol and an older Hawken.

I have a TC Black Diamond stainless/composite 50 cal inline and a TC Encore stainless/walnut 50 cal with the 26" Pro Hunter barrel. One of these days id like to get a Hawken or some other non-inline gun to play around with.

    All mine are caplocks.
With this great weather we're having, it wouldn't take much persuasion to get 'em out and going "Boom".
Drop me a PM sometime if you'd like to do some shooting.

TC Black Diamond XR .45cal. Stainless Steel with camo stock. I know it's not quite as traditional as I'd like, but it's my first black powder gun and I do like it very much. 200+ yds is not a problem with 150gr charge!! It also uses 209 primers.

Kentucky style 45 cal 1970's reproduction wall hanger that I occasionally shoot.
Thompson Center Pennsylvania Hunter and New Englander 50's for hunting.
    Ruger Old Army.

Sold a couple Traditions in-lines, Zouave, Sharps, CVA double barrel 12 ga, Lyman Great Plains, many Kentucky style pistols, and 1860's period reproduction revolvers.
Only flintlock was a 69 cal Tower pistol copy that I sold to my best friend. He forgot it was loaded and added a second charge and ball.
The pistol slapped him up side of his head and knocked him out cold for a bit. When he woke, he said I could have it back.
Still has chipped bone above his temple.

    T/C Z5 Omega Thumbhole.

I also have a Traditions Pursuit Pro and a T/C Black Diamond, both of which I'm looking to sell. I was holding out on the Black Diamond until the other one for sale was sold.

    T/C 's - Hawken flintlock 50 cal, 2 Seneca caplocks 45 cal, Renegade 56sb, White Mtn Carbine 50cal, Patriot pistol 45cal. And a contender rifle in 45cal.

Others - Unknown apparent hand made 72cal caplock, CVA 50cal short rifle, 58cal sb homemade caplock, CVA 45 Kentucky pistol, CVA 45cal Philladelphia derringer, Miroku 69cal sb flintlock tower pistol.

Is it obvious that I like black powder guns, the smell and the smoke get me every time.

I shoot flints at the range mostly. I am a leftie and own one RH caplock, a basic factory made Kentucky in 45.

I still shoot inlines, but only when the weather is bad out. Once I build a LH 54 caplock and I get to hunt elk out west once, the T/C omega is up for sale. I just might need that inline out there.

I own 3 flintlocks in .45., .54, and .62 caliber. I have no desire to own an in-line.
