Yeah, I have tried to purchase from Natchez but the shipping cost always ruined it.

Ever tried sabots? I use hornady XTP 44cal .429" 240gr hollow point in the 100 round pack and buy (2) 50 harvester .429" into 50 cal bore plastic sabots. Combine that with plain old shotgun primers and loose powder, and the whole trigger pull is a touch under 60 cents.

I zero my gun at 100 yards. I use 90 grains FFFg goex, the real balckpowder. I aim at the spine and the bullet drop gives me a nice broadside shot at 150 yards If I need to shoot that far.

I use cableas as an example of what I use.

    The sabots by themselves

    Harvester Crush Rib .50 Caliber Sabots - Per 50 : Cabela's

The bullets to put in those sabots.

    Hornady® .44 Caliber .430" Diameter Pistol Bullets : Cabela's

I use this to keep the blackpowder measured and quick to reload. Just as fast if not faster than pellets.

    Thompson/Center U-View™ Flex Loader : Cabela's

Use your favorite powder. Pellets cost a ton more than loose powder. Depending on where you get it, 777 is the cheapest substitute. I use real blackpowder because I also shoot flintlock which need the easiest substance to ignite. Which is a reason I like it in my modern inline too.

I got roughly 100 loose hornady plastic tipped sabots. Some are hornady some are Thompson center, they are the same exact bullet.

75 of them are 250gr and about 35 or so are 300gr. I actually put them on gunbroker. Most of them are in unopened boxes, some are loose boxes. I was looking for $75 shipped.

Someone let me try a few XTP's and I 've been liking them.

I got 1 lb of loose 777 FFg powder that is unopened and if you need a pack of primers, I can throw then in.

It would be an excellent excuse to come visit the Kinderhook rod and gun club on sunday for some skeet shooting. Even the other clubs out there. I forgot the name of the one with the sporting clays course. Nassau maybe? Close to the lake.
