(One of the companies that I work for sold the systems, so I got to work with them extensively.)
NYSP, CCSO and CPD all have a LPR equipped car and there has been several times where each of those cars was given a plate (missing person, wanted, stolen car etc) and it was found due to the LPR. There has also been almost triple the stops for suspended registrations/unpaid parking tickets that would have otherwise went unnoticed.

Don't do stuff that would get you stopped....

I know....more of that making sense stuff........cut it out!

You mean don't ever leave your dwelling again? Because that is all it takes sometimes. For all the 25-30 times I have been pulled over, it was legit three times. The other times the LEO made up some lie or BS excuse, like a tail light or brake light being out (but they never were when I looked, amazing!) And no, I do not drive blaring rap music at 90 decibels or flashing gang signs.

    SIMPLE>>>>
If the the cops asks if you have a gun you say yes and show him CCW permit. If he does not ask you dont need to mention out of the blue that you have a gun on you.

That's ironic because I have never stopped a car without probable cause...I guess it is a good thing that I don't work in Albany.

^ Sometimes sarcasm is misinterpreted here. Doc was joking about the screen name "Degenret" resembling "Degenerate", which is defined as a person who is corrupt/immoral. He wasn't implying he knew anything about who is behind "Degenret", just making a joke based on the screen name itself. No sense fighting or arguing over it.

I knew it was a joke, I thought it was rather pathetic and stupid. And I only drive on the sidewalk when the cars in front of me are going too slow.

It sounds cliche, but I'm sitting at home alone on my day off watching TV and LITERALLY laughed out loud. Thank you!

If I have guns in the car, it's nobody's business unless I'm specifically asked. However, if I am carrying a hand gun on my hip, and I need to brush past it to withdraw my license, then I will notify the officer first. And I won't use the word "weapon". I'll say "I'm currently legally carrying concealed".

I searched and couldn't find this--sorry if it was covered previously, but what about disclosure to DEC officers? Say you're fishing, and they approach you for your fishing permit, is it advised/required to disclose CCW to them?

    OH.....I'm betting they will ask.

Fishing? Well, I wouldn't think they'd be worried about you with a gun but they may ask.
Bow or gun hunting? I'd bet they'd ask pretty quick
But...if they don't then it's up to you based on the setting.
