    Default Master Class Combat League

Just putting it out there for those who are going into their hibernation period. Master Class has started the Dennis Serpi Cocked and Locked Combat League. Open to all who are legally allowed to handle handguns. You just need 60 rounds of center fire ammunition, .32 caliber and above I believe, each relay costs $10 or $12 depending on membership, and a will to get more proficient at shooting. Wednesday nights starting at 4:00 p.m. and running a new relay every half hour until 7:00 p.m.

It is definitely worth the time and effort if you want to be a better shooter, I consider it more akin to training rather than just a competition or an ordinary league.

    Aim small shoot small

Sounds interesting and also like a lot of fun. Wish I could swing the hours with work!

Everybody can leave work one night a week or every other week earley, I load my gear Tuesday night so I can run home after work on wednsday and be there by 6:30 for the 7 pm string. If I remember correctly Brian bcbcmc53 thought he could not make it because of work and I don't think he missed a night last year.

I miss this. While I love living in a free state, I haven't found any shooting event as fun as the Master Class league.

I missed the one they cancelled because of a blizzard. Still can't get a good score. Practice!

Hey all.. New to everything here and shooting as well. Not sure if anyone has the answers but I have 2 questions about this event. What types of holsters are acceptable? IWB or OWB, Both? Also it says at least 3 extra mags.. I only have 3 mags total is that a problem?

Any strong side holster can be used - cross draw or shoulder holsters.
You will need at least 4 magazines.

I am in the process of buying the extra magazines I need so that I can start shooting.

No cross draw or shoulder holsters. A bucket holster or race holster is what most people run.

There are other venues throughout the year that you might be interested in. Look into Monroe-Chester sportsman club, they have monthly plate matches on the weekends as well as other shooting competitions, Blackrock fish and game I believe also has plate matches in the warmer months, GSSF for those who own Glock guns have matches all over the place in N.J., Pa., N.Y. There are plenty of shooting events all over the place if you just do a little bit of research and make the commitment to get out to places that you have never been. I haven't had a bad day at a match ever, no matter how far I had to drive.

Is there a difference between Master Class and PPC?
Common sense does not involve citizen disarmament. Responsible solutions do not disarm the victim pool. And support for the Second Amendment does not advocate for infringements. Get out of my face.

I think the Combat League at Master Class is similar to PPC.
I like my guns like Obama likes his voters... Undocumented.

This is one of the reason's I stick with the combat league. Another reason is that I'm trying to stop changing the way I shoot when that buzzer goes off.
