I hear you Jim, the initial hit is heavy.

This is how I looked at it. It would have cost me less up front to go shoot at Wooster or Millerton, just two examples, there's more. What was my time and gas worth? That's how I looked at it.

I could have shot at Ardsley for free(not that I would have, I'd have paid like most everyone else), my friend ran the place, but the cost of gas to get there(and back) would have quickly eaten up the difference. Remember gas was near $4 for quite awhile.

PCFGA is less than 2 miles from my house.

There's no club around here with the facilities PCFGA has to offer, which is why the wait list keeps growing.

I joined Millerton Gun Club. $75/year and 2 hours labor which is satisfied by attending two of twelve monthly meetings. Membership is limited to 275 members, and I've never seen it crowded.

PCFGA is only a couple of miles from my house as well. But it's just not in the cards for me at this time.

I just checked it out..you see the photos of Babe Ruth being a member lol cool. How long of a drive from where we live, and hours you can shoot? And what did u do to join..cause 75$ is a steal to go shoot anytime you want.

It's about an hour drive. You have to be sponsored by an existing member to join. I have a friend who is a member. I was on the waiting list for about six months too.

Range hours are 8am till dusk Monday through Saturday. Sunday noon till dusk.

So a question for those in the know. I emailed a request to be considered for membership at PCFGA this past week. Is an email request sufficient or is a written request preferred? I have considered applying for some time now but never pulled the trigger so to speak.

I had emailed them and their response was to send a formal request by mail.

Way back when, I considered joining. I sent an email for information. Still waiting for the response.

The person handling membership now is new and hopefully will be more attentive.

Send another email. As indicated there is new administration there. I found out my FFL guy is a member. He said they are straightening things out.

I have not met him yet; however, good to know there are some FFLs as members. I assume they are more than just 03s?

    Do they do transfers, etc?
